It is conducted by Union Public Service Commission for the recruitment of candidates for the post of Assistant Medical Officer in the Department/Ministries of the Indian Government. The selection process includes 2 stages such as a Computer-based examination and a Personality Test.

Eligibility Criteria

• Indian candidates can apply.
• MBBS Degree is required to apply for UPSC CMS.
• Appearing candidates in the above exam can also apply.
• The age of the candidates must be not more than 32 years (as of August 1, 2022).
• There will be upper age relaxation for candidates belonging to a certain category as given below.

UPSC CMS 2022 Application Form

The application form of CMS is released by UPSC. Candidates will have to fill the application form in two parts. Candidates will have to register themselves in Part 1 by entering their details while in part 2 of the application filling process candidates will have to select the mode of online payment, selection of exam center, and final submission of the application form.

Exam Pattern

The overview of UPSC CMS 2022 exam pattern is given below:

• Duration of exam: 2 hours (each paper)

• Number of questions: 240 (120 each paper)
• Total marks: 500 (250 each paper)
• Negative marking: For every incorrect answer, one-third of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted

Personal Test

• Total marks: 100
• Topics: General Knowledge, questions to assess the candidate’s intellectual curiosity, critical powers of assimilation, balance of judgment and alertness of mind, etc
